
From July 19 to 22, Li Guoying, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Minister of the Ministry of Water Resources, conducted research on water conservancy work in the Tibet Autonomous Region. He emphasized the need to base efforts on Tibet's regional and water conditions, balance high-quality development with high-level security, accelerate the improvement of urban flood control systems, major water conservancy projects, and the modernization and renovation of irrigation districts, to provide strong water security for promoting long-term stability and high-quality development in Tibet. Li Guoying visited the Yarlung Zangbo River, Lhasa River, and Nianchu River basins, including Lhasa City, Shigatse City, Sakya County, Lhaze County, Ngamring County, Bainang County, and Gyantse County, to investigate river basin protection and management, urban flood control projects in Lhasa and Shigatse, the Pazhi Water Control Project (under construction), the Manla Water Control Project, and the Manla Irrigation District and Sakya Water Storage and Irrigation System.
