Rate Of ReturnMany folks asked me about sell call operations, so I'll briefly explain:
1. The purpose of sell call is when you genuinely believe the stock price is too high and don't want to sell the shares directly. Selling calls allows you to sell at a higher price, and you're okay with the shares being called away. I generally prefer holding shares long-term, so this strategy doesn't suit me.
2. Sell calls are usually for the near term, typically the next week. If you're just doing it to earn some option premium, you might lose the shares. For me, the potential profit isn't worth the stress, and I need to sleep well—health comes first.
3. If sell calls are just for that little bit of option premium, I think it's speculation, which doesn't align with my value investing approach 🤔
