Focus on tonight's US September CPI inflation data

Important reminder, the US will release its September CPI at 8:30 pm tonight. Although the US government is still shut down, the Labor Department previously announced that it would release the CPI.

This is the most important data before the October Fed meeting. The market now predicts it to be 3.1%. If it's lower than expected or even below 3%, it would be a big positive.
