The US just announced their weekly jobless claims, which were forecast at 220,000 but came in at only 191,000,
This is different from yesterday's disappointing US ADP report, but these two data points aren't contradictory - they actually reflect the current US labor market situation where companies are neither laying off nor hiring.
So it's really difficult to define whether the job market is stable or deteriorating right now, and this is one of the biggest contradictions within the Federal Reserve.
