Traded ValueTwo signals hint at possible U.S. relaxation of chip and semiconductor export controls?
If we look at these two news items together, it feels a bit special. First, yesterday our trade promotion council attended a symposium with the U.S. Semiconductor Industry Association, stating that both sides would promote cooperation in the semiconductor field between China and the U.S.,
and today we held talks with the U.S. Soybean Export Council to strengthen agricultural cooperation.
Isn't the meaning quite clear? If you want us to buy your soybeans, then exchange them for chips and semiconductors. Add to this the media reports that NVIDIA may sell high-end chips to our side.
If this is really the case, it would be good news for the AI industry on both sides.
