Looking at these two trend charts of my options trading, I feel like slapping myself a few times. It's really hilarious and ridiculous. These two charts perfectly illustrate the greed in human nature!

When the stock price surged, I didn't sell, thinking it could still go higher. I was afraid of selling too early and missing out on further gains, so I fell into greedy waiting.

When the stock price fell below my cost price, I still didn't sell. It was my loss aversion psychology at play—I refused to admit failure and preferred to hold on, waiting for a rebound rather than cutting losses and turning paper losses into real ones. Thus, I delayed to avoid the pain of decision-making.

In summary, discipline is key: take profits in batches when the price rises, and cut losses promptly when it falls.
