Nasdaq fell -0.59%, S&P fell -0.16%
Last night, the Nasdaq continued the trend from last week, falling further, while the S&P only dipped slightly. The main market concern still revolves around the AI bubble issue. Broadcom and Oracle saw another round of declines. The real standout was Tesla, which bucked the trend and hit a new high.
Cathie Wood bought $18 million worth of BMNR, $16 million COIN, $11 million CRCL, $5 million BLSH, $1.2 million ARKB, and $1 million SLMT today—all of which are crypto-related concept stocks, except for ARKB, which tracks a Bitcoin ETF. Last night's sharp drop directly accelerated her buying spree.
Cathie Wood sold $60 million worth of Tesla today. Tesla's Model Y autonomous taxis were spotted driving in Austin, Texas, without safety drivers, which boosted Tesla's stock price—at least bringing it one step closer to full autonomy. What we're most looking forward to now is Elon Musk's SpaceX going public next year. No matter the price, we'll buy a little just to be part of it.
She also sold $4 million worth of SHOP. These two months are peak season for Europe and the US, so the stock price rise is normal. But by January next year, with weak spending and holidays in the stock price will likely pull back. Pretty slick move.
She sold $1 million SOFI and $600K IBTA. After such a drop, hopefully, there'll be a rebound this week.
This time, I couldn't participate in the US IPO because I don't have a Futu/MooMoo account, so I had to miss out. I've scheduled a passport appointment for the 27th (Saturday) this month, but I also need overseas proof. However, I saw some methods—I'll try to see if I can register successfully. If it works, I'll share it with everyone.
