Rate Of Return$TENCENT(00700.HK)
Tencent was eerily calm today! Stuck at HK$614 all day, with 0.00% change, high of HK$621.5 and low of HK$611.5, turnover just HK$3.7B - boring as an old man feeding pigeons in the park.
From the intraday chart: opened at HK$616.08, briefly surged to HK$620.8 (+1%), but quickly retreated. Then it wandered between HK$614-616 like sightseeing - sell orders dominated at 90.21% vs buy orders' 9.79%. Heavy selling pressure but the price stubbornly refused to drop, as if some invisible big hand was propping it up at HK$614.
A 9,600-share block got dumped but was immediately absorbed. Retail investors bought a few hundred lots and stabilized the price - classic institutional vs retail gameplay.
Honestly, Tencent is now a super juggernaut - excelling in gaming, mobile games, WeChat, cloud, payments. Growth has slowed but cash is overflowing, constantly doing buybacks with decent dividends. In this chaotic market, buying Tencent at HK$614 for dividends and buybacks is safer than property rentals!
Short-term likely to keep bottoming between HK$610-620. Only worry if it breaks HK$610. Otherwise just hold and chill while collecting dividends. Long-term, AI and cloud still have huge potential - it'll eventually rebound past HK$700+. No rush, just wait for its awakening~
Today's action was sleep-inducing but reassuringly stable. That's Tencent - won't make you rich overnight but won't blow up your account either. Buy it and sleep tight, wake up richer 😴💰
