Shanghai's free green license plates account for 76.03% of the total. As of December 22, there is still no clear policy on Shanghai's new energy license plates in 2026. If this continues, no one will spend 100,000 yuan on a license plate for fuel vehicles (including plug-in hybrids/extended-range vehicles with engines).
