These resource stocks have been a bit too volatile recently. Holding $Newmont(NEM.US) and $Southern Copper(SCCO.US) still gives some gains, but the oil stocks ($Occidental Petroleum(OXY.US), $Chevron(CVX.US), $Exxon Mobil(XOM.US)) keep fluctuating unpredictably—falling when they should rise and suddenly spiking when they should drop.
Especially $Occidental Petroleum(OXY.US), which analysts have been calling undervalued for a whole year, but the results have been underwhelming.
