US judge dismisses murder, weapons charges against alleged CEO killer Luigi Mangione

A New York federal judge dismissed murder and weapons charges against Luigi Mangione, accused of killing UnitedHealthcare CEO, which removes the possibility of a death penalty. Mangione, 27, pleaded not guilty to various charges, including stalking. The judge found the charges legally incompatible with the stalking counts. Jury selection was scheduled for September, but no trial date has been set for separate state court charges.
