Visually appealing user interfaces come from the aesthetic output of designers. This aesthetic output cannot be quickly learned or completed by product managers or engineers, as designers come from over 10 years of foundational education. AI might accelerate this somewhat, but not significantly.
Designers cannot be replaced by AI.
However, the tools designers use for output and delivery have undergone three major iterations—from PS to sketch to Figma. These iterations mainly focused on vector and collaboration improvements, overall enhancing flexibility and efficiency.
Will AI replace design tools? Currently, my judgment is no. AI
AI will improve designers' efficiency in creating graphics and speed up design-related programming.
But designers need expression tools, and these tools cannot be replaced by natural language.
