Because of the A-share market, I thought that when the price was high, it would always fall, so I did more shorting than longing. Every time I shorted, I made a small profit. I didn't dare to hold US stocks for long because they kept rising. Since last May, every time I longed, I missed the big rallies, and several times I got killed just before dawn. It felt like a punishment for my shorting. Starting when Tesla was near 500, and after paying attention to the various recognized big shots in the comment section for so long—they were all longing—I started to firmly go long and gave up shorting. Unexpectedly, over the past two months, many stocks kept hitting new lows, and I still felt they would V back up. Stubbornly, I refused to short even once. When the price rose, I never believed it would rise further; when it fell, I never believed it would fall further. Stock behavior is often so irrational. Will it suddenly turn around and keep rising when I can't take it anymore and decide to short? And then I won't believe it, starting the next cycle?
