
CME raises margin requirements for gold and silver futures
The Chicago Mercantile Exchange issued a notice on February 5 local time to adjust margins for some futures contracts including gold, silver and aluminum. The document shows that the new margin requirement for gold has been raised to 9%, and the margin requirement for silver has been raised to 18%. The new standards will take effect after the close of trading on February 6 local time.
