Orders$Micron Tech(MU.US) Micron supplies LPDDR5X memory for the "Vera" CPU in NVIDIA's Rubin series VR200 NVL72 system, with a maximum configuration of 1.5TB. With 36 CPUs per rack, the total is 54TB. Meanwhile, one GPU uses 288GB of HBM4, so a rack with 72 GPUs would require approximately 20.7TB of HBM4. The price per GB of HBM4 is less than double that of LPDDR5X, so Micron's earnings from supplying LPDDR5X for Rubin racks are no less than from HBM4. Once Micron's HBM4 enters mass production, it will further collaborate with Rubin on top of its existing cooperation with NVIDIA's B-series GPUs. At that point, Micron's partnership with NVIDIA will involve both LPDDR5x and HBM4 memory, potentially generating even greater revenue than SK Hynix. Moreover, after HBM4 mass production, Micron will not only work with NVIDIA but also supply chips for Google's and Amazon's in-house designed processors.
