🔥🎯 For those who are unaware, SpaceX has shifted its focus to building a self-sustaining city on the Moon, as we could potentially achieve this in less than 10 years, whereas Mars would take over 20 years.
SpaceX's mission remains unchanged: to extend consciousness and life as we know it to the stars.
Trips to Mars are only possible every 26 months when the planets align (a journey taking 6 months), while we can launch spacecraft to the Moon every 10 days (a journey taking 2 days). This means building a lunar city would be far faster than building a Martian city.
That said, SpaceX will also strive to build a city on Mars, with plans to begin implementation in 5 to 7 years, but the top priority is securing the future of civilization, and landing on the Moon is faster.
