I am currently reading the financial book "Price Investing", which was rated as one of the top ten most popular financial books in 2025. Here are my thoughts:
"Price Investing" is authored by Jin Zhifeng and offers an innovative investment methodology. Based on over a decade of practical experience, the author introduces the core concept of the "Price Origin Point", using fundamental logic and axioms to derive the simplest trading system for "Logical Profit". What attracts me most about this book is that it provides a set of investment methods that are plannable, executable, and profitable in the long term, unlike the complexity of traditional technical analysis or fundamental analysis.
Reading this book made me reconsider several core investment questions:
The Importance of the Price Origin Point
The "Price Origin Point" concept proposed by the author is essentially a psychological anchor. Amid market volatility, investors are easily swayed by emotions, deviating from rational judgment. Establishing a clear Price Origin Point can help us stay calm during market panic and remain vigilant during market euphoria.
The Logical Profit System
Traditional investing often relies excessively on complex mathematical models and technical indicators, but the author emphasizes fundamental logic and axiomatic derivation. This approach is more suitable for retail investors because it doesn't require advanced mathematical knowledge, only clear logical thinking and discipline.
Practical Application
The methods in the book are not only theoretically sound but, more importantly, provide a concrete practical framework. For example, how to set stop-loss levels, how to evaluate risk-reward ratios, and how to build an investment portfolio are all covered with detailed operational guidance.
Summary
The most commendable aspect of "Price Investing" is its simplification of complex investment theories into an executable operational system. For retail investors, this pragmatic approach holds more practical value than pursuing perfect theoretical models. The "Logical Profit" philosophy emphasized in the book precisely addresses the psychological qualities and methodologies most needed by investors in the current market environment.
