The QQQ's risk-off indicator has risen to 0.39, the highest since the sharp drop in April 2025, similar to the level during the 2022 bear market, indicating growing concern that tech stocks will fall.
Additionally, although the S&P 500 index as a whole hasn't moved much, the average gain or loss of its constituent stocks over the past month has exceeded 10%.
This level of divergence is almost historically high over the past 30 years and the most extreme since 2008.
