So, the fool decides that if he's happy working there, then he'll leave later.

Would the fool (feel sorry) for the boss? Not necessarily. The fool also worked, right? So most likely he (wouldn't) feel sorry.

Not only wouldn't he feel sorry, he'd hope there are more of these (fool) companies. Then the fool would achieve (financial independence).
