What do you two big shots @輸棟樓的韭菜 @奇迹的交易员cola think about $Yelp(YELP.US) licensing its data to OpenAI? It seems the management actually knows that in the AI era, their most valuable asset is the massive amount of authentic user reviews. For an average user like me, I think the part I value most on the platform is also this "trustworthiness" that AI cannot replace. But why are they willing to give up this advantage in the form of collecting rent?

I had a chat with @输栋楼的韭菜, and no matter how you calculate it, $Yelp(YELP.US)'s current price is cheap. But cheap as it may be, the biggest fear is that management might pull off something major; they could just sit there and slowly die, and you'd still make money buying at any point. The real fear is them partying in the ICU. The main point is, from what we can see now, partnering with OpenAI shows they really want to party, so the market has priced it as if they're bankrupt.

Crisis, is it danger? Or opportunity? I don't know either.
