Total Assets2026 Investment Theme Forecast
For the 2026 investment theme, I firmly stand with gold. The current international situation is like a "powder keg," with geopolitical conflicts coming one after another, and market uncertainty is maxed out. At such times, gold's safe-haven attribute is the "anchor"—when capital is fleeing in panic, gold is always the "safe harbor" for capital.
Looking at its essence, gold is a non-renewable scarce resource; every bit dug out of the ground means less remains. This physical scarcity is tangible. Compared to cryptocurrencies, those virtual things have no physical backing, and their prices rely entirely on market sentiment and algorithmic fluctuations, making them too uncertain. Gold has thousands of years of value consensus, and whether as a monetary reserve or an industrial raw material, demand remains steady and solid.
For my first trade after the New Year, I plan to increase my position in gold ETFs. The logic is simple: the more chaotic the international situation, the more "appealing" gold becomes. This kind of certainty is too rare in the 2026 market. In terms of investment goals, I've set up a "double insurance" for myself: in the short term, I'm looking at the sustainability after gold prices break previous highs, with a target return of 15%-20%; in the long term, I'll use gold as the "ballast" in my asset allocation, controlling drawdowns within 5%. After all, its safe-haven nature means it won't fluctuate wildly like stocks. Steady and solid progress is the way to go.
