$Bitfarms Canada(BITF.US) and $Mara(MARA.US) are really just new packaging for the AI concept. One moment they were Bitcoin miners, the next they're all shouting about entering the AI and HPC race. It's quite a spectacle. BITF has paid off its $300 million debt, so there shouldn't be any immediate financial landmines. MARA's earnings report shows losses that are nerve-wracking, but as soon as they pivot to AI, the stock pumps like crazy.
In this current market, everyone is chasing AI, but I'm quite skeptical about how far these mining-to-AI transformations can really go. There's bullish enthusiasm, but I can't bring myself to go all in, because if you want something to fall, you must first let it go wild.
