One day in July 1947, a cadre arrived at the gate of Pyongyang's Second Primary School. A female student wearing an armband saluted him with the youth league salute and demanded, "Please register first, write down your work unit, and also write your name!" The cadre obediently bent over and wrote: "Chairman of the Korean People's Committee, Kim Il-sung." Upon seeing the three characters for Kim Il-sung, the girl immediately sat dumbfounded in her chair, unable to move a muscle. The Chairman sent someone to take her to the hospital, and only then was she revived.
