Today's society is essentially a battle royale game where the first ones to leverage advantages like knowledge, technology, connections, resources, and opportunities of the times earn enough money for several, dozens, or even hundreds of lifetimes, then transfer their assets and emigrate. Those without these advantages and resources are left with only scraps, or perhaps nothing to eat at all. Efficiency is paramount, while fairness is relegated to the bottom—meaning the fairness of competition, the fairness of distribution, and society's basic safety net are fundamentally neglected! The future for ordinary people will be unimaginably bleak. This is not alarmist talk or fear-mongering; this is our not-so-distant future.
