Quantitative models are way better than humans, countless people have suffered losses on this matter.
There is a very stubborn cognitive bias, almost everyone who just enters the market has it, which is to treat the stock price as a barometer of the company's performance, believing that good performance leads to a rising stock price, and poor performance leads to a falling stock price.
