Rate Of Return🔥 🎯Wedbush on Tesla's (TSLA) Terafab: The First Step Towards a TSLA-SpaceX Merger in 2027
Wedbush Securities analyst Daniel Ives reiterated his "Outperform" rating and $600 price target on Tesla.
In his latest research report, Ives highlighted Elon Musk's announcement that Tesla and SpaceX will build two advanced chip factories in Austin, Texas, one of which is the Terafab factory, aimed at meeting the surging demand for chip technology required by Tesla's AI strategy.
One factory will support Tesla's vehicles and the Optimus humanoid robot, while the other is designed for space AI data centers, targeting an annual capacity of 1 terawatt—roughly double the current U.S. output.
Existing suppliers, including Micron, TSMC, and Samsung, cannot meet future demand, making chip and memory supply the biggest constraint for Tesla in achieving its AI goals.
Ives believes the Terafab project is the first step towards an eventual merger between Tesla and SpaceX, likely to be completed in 2027, which would accelerate Tesla's path to becoming an AI giant.
