Recently, I've been playing around myself while also looking at the situation in the industrial chain and doing some thinking. Compared to humanoid robots, what I'm more interested in now are the potential changes brought about by the miniaturization and decentralization of various supply chain equipment, including 3D printing.
In the future, could part of the logistics for goods shift from transporting finished products to transporting digital design files and basic materials? Even if it can't reach every household, could it reach the community level?
Could a 100-200 square meter community hub, in a space similar to a Cainiao Station, with the support of miniaturized supply chain equipment and automation facilities, provide thousands of SKUs of products to the surrounding community? Could the time from design completion to delivery to the user's hands be shortened to 30 minutes?
For now, it's just for fun, and the whole thing is still mostly a gimmick. However, if the business model can be established, I wonder if some changes might emerge within 10 years.
