"Sell down to the sleeping point."

Now I can better understand this saying,

If you can't sleep,

it's either because the stock has risen too sharply and feels unsafe,

or it has fallen too much and the drawdown pressure is high.

If you already feel uncomfortable,

then selling a portion is not a problem.

Cutting losses on a part just means a slightly higher cost basis,

and not selling at the absolute peak just means missing out on a small part of the gains.

Overall, it's about sacrificing a portion of potential profit,

but if sacrificing a portion of profit

can help you hold on to this stock better,

I think that's a good strategy.

This is the inspiration from today's community discussion,

and also making peace with myself for missing out on (selling in the night session) a portion of Microsoft today.
