Following an incident last month where dozens of Baidu's Apollo Go autonomous vehicles suddenly stopped in Wuhan, causing passenger delays and traffic disruptions, the issuance of new autonomous driving vehicle licenses has been suspended.

Apollo Go vehicles are still equipped with a safety officer who needs to handle operations like turning. It's said that even the safety officers themselves have criticized Baidu's autonomous driving technology as being garbage.
