1 Several positive news for US stocks emerged, such as the end of the war, pushing the SPX index from 7237 to 7431 this week. We successfully captured the 200-point gain this week, with profits concentrated in bottom-fishing DRAM, SDNK, INTC, MRVL, achieving over 20% returns. I've recovered all the losses from last Friday and Monday and even made a bit more, while also establishing long-term positions in NVDA and GOOGL options.
2 Next week has only four trading days. The CTA's quantitative selling trigger point is 7320, meaning as long as it doesn't fall back to 7320, the market won't crash. The resistance level for further gains is 7550; only by breaking through and holding above it can the rally continue.
However, once it falls below 7320, it could drop towards 7100.
3 There's an FOMC meeting next week, so after Monday, the market will still have a risk-off sentiment, with the possibility of a pullback. The logic of US stock institutions is simple: as soon as there's any uncertainty, they sell first.
4 Bought some SPCX yesterday, sold it after pushing it up to 171. The IPO has already 'sold the news'. Will slowly build a position after the lock-up period ends.
5 SPCX's listing itself might not rise, but it could drive a wave of space computing and space communication concepts. Beneficiaries here are INTC, NOK, etc.
The upside for super mega-cap stocks might be limited now; major players prefer to pump stocks with smaller market caps.
6 TSLA has formed a stage bottom around 378.
7 The 'Magnificent Seven' will gradually bottom out and rebound, needing a bit more decline and adjustment, probably another half a month. I've opened positions in NVDA and GOOGL, and added to my MSFT position.
8 In recent years, several areas prone to big pitfalls: BTC/ETH, space stocks, nuclear stocks, quantum stocks, software stocks, China concept stocks. These areas have swallowed up a lot of retail investors. They are suitable for short-term trading, not for long-term heavy positions, as most companies' profitability isn't great, some are even just 'PPT companies'.
Just follow the AI theme and stick to the main road of AI infrastructure.
9 Waiting to see if the US and Iran can sign a deal. If they do, the market could surge further. Will decide then whether to take profits on some options.
Have a great weekend.
