The Nasdaq Golden Dragon China Index fell 2.70%, with Alibaba down 4.74%, Baidu down 3.55%, and Nio down 3.47%. London spot gold returned above $4,000 per ounce, supported by a dollar retreat after PCE data met expectations and bargain-hunting.
CICC stated that the gold bull market is not over and a turnaround is approaching; Goldman Sachs lowered its year-end target price to $4,900 but maintained a constructive medium-term view.
