Traded ValueI've been trading with IBKR recently, and I haven't had this phone I use to access the platform with me, so it's been a while since I've posted on the platform.
1. First, let's talk about $Microsoft(MSFT.US). Emm, it's currently my largest position, accounting for about 15% of my portfolio. I mentioned in my last post that I sold half my position around 460. It's been falling for a month, and I've gradually bought back the half I sold. My current cost basis is 385. I bought it for two main reasons: 1) The fundamentals are still solid, and the performance is good. 2) Looking at forward P/E, the price is indeed cheap. Even using a pessimistic Davis Double Kill model, the current price is reasonable to slightly undervalued.
For future plans, I'll try to watch for 427-435 first. At that level, I'll consider selling half again to see if I can make another rotation.
2. Let's talk about $Netflix(NFLX.US). Actually, many friends who follow me know this is my favorite stock to discuss. Emm, there were many previous posts, and my price predictions for Netflix, as per my posts, have reached 77 or even lower. Emm, I recently decided to open a position at a cost of 72, which is about 6% of my total portfolio. I can probably allocate another 3% to it later.
Both stocks saw price and volume rise from the bottom last night. Microsoft even saw massive volume. However, I don't think this necessarily signals a reversal because most stocks that rose last night were on high volume. The reason isn't hard to guess: it was due to a combination of factors like Friday's options expiration, quarterly institutional rebalancing, and pension fund quarter-end rebalancing, all leading to increased volume. Therefore, we need to continue observing next week to see if the trend for these two stocks can sustain.
By the way, let's discuss another piece of news: Apple is lobbying the White House to buy from China's CXMT. I think whether this news materializes isn't that important. What's more important is the statement and the trend it represents. The four major tech giants are spending money and getting beaten up. Is there no rule of law? I believe this is unsustainable.
