In the short term (the next 1-2 quarters), Hynix remains one of the most direct and highest profit-elasticity targets within the AI hardware supply chain. As long as there is no significant cliff-like drop in AI server demand, its high profit margins and cash flow can be maintained for a while longer.
For the medium to long term, a more calm approach is needed: it remains a company with extremely strong cyclical attributes; it's just that the current cycle has been pulled particularly steeply and highly by AI demand. Investing in it is essentially betting on "how long AI capital expenditures can maintain high intensity," rather than betting on it transforming into a platform company like Microsoft or Amazon.
If market sentiment shifts from "infinite growth" to "verifying real ROI," Hynix's valuation and stock price volatility will be more severe compared to downstream cloud providers. This is both its greatest charm and its greatest risk.
