$XTALPI(02228.HK) US AI biopharma stocks surged last night. Seeing the news this morning, Anthropic acquired an OPC—a single person working on biopharma, designing pipelines with AI assistance. Is this a tailwind or headwind for 2228? I lean towards bearish. From a compute perspective, China's AI pharma companies lag far behind the US in computational power, and the US still leads in using AI to understand the physical world, which has been my ongoing concern. If XtalPi continues to focus solely on its platform, it's in trouble. Fortunately, word is that 2228 will accelerate into pipeline development. Only by doing pharma directly and facing end consumers can you truly make big money. Torn, but I'll continue reducing my position in 2228. Even though profits dropped by a zero, I have to grit my teeth.
