Sales in Asia and the United States grew by 10% each, while revenue in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa decreased by 13%. According to the Zhitong Finance APP, TAI PING CARPET (00146) announced its performance for the six months ending December 31, 2024, reporting revenue of HKD 308 million, an increase of 0.63% year-on-year; the profit attributable to shareholders was HKD 21.697 million, a decrease of 2.59% year-on-year; earnings per share were HKD 0.1023.
The announcement stated that during this period, the sales of carpet business were approximately HKD 302 million, an increase of 1% compared to approximately HKD 299 million last year. Benefiting from steady growth across all divisions, revenue in the Asia region increased by 10%. Sales in the United States also achieved a 10% growth, mainly due to the expansion of sales in the private aviation division. The sales growth in Asia and the United States was offset by a 13% decrease in revenue from Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, partly due to a large number of non-recurring items benefiting last year and partly related to a challenging trading environment.
