SYP: Dalian SYP float glass production line will be shut down for renovation starting June 23
SYP announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Dalian SYP Glass Co., Ltd. will suspend production of its float glass production line for renovation starting June 23, 2025. The purpose of this renovation is to achieve energy-saving upgrades for the melting furnace and automation of the production line, enhancing production capacity, particularly for the manufacturing of TCO glass substrates for perovskite and cadmium telluride thin-film solar cells, to meet the demand for high-performance glass in fields such as photovoltaics, solar thermal, automotive, and industry
According to the announcement from Zhitong Finance APP, SYP (600819.SH) stated that its wholly-owned subsidiary Dalian SYP Glass Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Dalian SYP") will suspend production of its float glass production line starting from June 23, 2025, to implement energy-saving upgrades for the melting furnace and automation transformation projects for the float glass production line.
Upon completion of this upgrade and transformation, Dalian SYP will achieve the dual goals of "renewing the production line + high-end manufacturing," upgrading the core equipment melting furnace technology and enhancing the automation level of the production line, upgrading the manufacturing capacity of TCO glass substrates for perovskite and cadmium telluride thin-film solar cells, promoting the product structure to leap towards high added value and high-tech content, producing more high-performance glass products that meet the demands of photovoltaic, solar thermal, automotive, and industrial fields, and better satisfying customer needs for high-quality diversified products
