ARTS OPTICAL plans to acquire a property in Malaysia for approximately HKD 23.828 million, with the transaction conducted by its wholly-owned subsidiary Arts Optic Property (M) Sdn. Bhd. The property is a semi-detached factory unit with an area of about 3,740 square meters, located in Selangor. It is expected to enhance the group's operational efficiency in the optical lens business in Malaysia and provide space for future expansion. This acquisition is part of the group's long-term business strategy aimed at expanding its fixed asset base and achieving capital appreciation
According to the Zhitong Finance APP, Arts Optical (01120) announced that on June 26, 2025, its indirect wholly-owned subsidiary Arts Optic Property (M) Sdn. Bhd. intends to acquire the property from WWRC Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. for a price of 12.88 million Malaysian Ringgit (approximately HKD 23.828 million).
The property to be acquired is a semi-detached factory unit with two (2) floors of office space, held under individual title HSM 20730, PT 18963, Mukim Telok Panglima Garang, Daerah Kuala Langat, Negeri Selangor, with a mailing address of No. 8, Lorong Jalak, Kawasan Perusahaan Kebun Baru, Batu 9, 42500 Telok Panglima Garang, Selangor Darul Ehsan, covering an area of approximately 3,740 square meters.
In 2024, the group established its optical lens business in Malaysia through its indirectly non-wholly-owned subsidiary Arts Optic Lab (M) Sdn. Bhd. The property to be acquired is adjacent to another property currently leased to Arts Optic Lab (M) Sdn. Bhd., and its location is ideal for reserving space for the group's future expansion of the optical lens business in Malaysia.
The acquisition is part of the group's long-term business strategy. Once the property is put into use by the group, its location is expected to enhance the group's operational efficiency, including improving control over transportation costs. In addition, the acquisition will expand the group's fixed asset base and provide opportunities to benefit from the capital appreciation potential of the property
