The People's Bank of China today (2nd) conducted a 98.5 billion yuan (same below) seven-day reverse repurchase operation in the open market, with the operation rate remaining at 1.4%. Today, 365.3 billion yuan of reverse repos are maturing, resulting in a net withdrawal of 26.68 billion yuan. The central parity rate of the yuan against the US dollar is reported at 7.1546, down 12 points. Caixin China's June manufacturing PMI rose to 50.4, exceeding expectations.

The three major A-share indices were weak in the morning session. The Shanghai Composite Index fell 1 point or 0.04%, closing at 3,456 points, with a turnover of 327.1 billion yuan; the Shenzhen Component Index fell 43 points or 0.4%, closing at 10,432 points, with a turnover of 522.6 billion yuan; the ChiNext Index fell 18 points or 0.8%, closing at 2,129 points, with a turnover of 248.7 billion yuan.

Banking stocks such as China Construction Bank (601939.SH) and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (601398.SH) rose by 1% and 0.1%, respectively. Some brokerage stocks continued to decline, with Guosheng Financial Holdings (002670.SZ) and Tianfeng Securities (601162.SH) dropping by 7.2% and 2%, respectively.

Photovoltaic stocks rose, with OJing Tech (001269.SZ) and XIUQIANG GLASS (300160.SZ) both hitting the daily limit.

BYD (002594.SZ) fell by 0.4%. Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (300750.SZ) fell by 0.3%. Leading semiconductor chip stocks were weak, with SMIC (688981.SH) and Hua Hong Semiconductor (688347.SH) falling by 1% and 2.5%, respectively
