Arch North America hires MSIG’s Kaufmann to establish US marine business
Arch Insurance North America has appointed Jeff Kaufmann as executive vice president, head of marine, effective July 7. Kaufmann, previously with MSIG USA, will lead the establishment of Arch’s U.S. marine product offerings, responding to customer demand for comprehensive marine solutions. CEO Matt Shulman highlighted Kaufmann's strong relationships with specialty producers as key to building out their offerings.

(The Insurer) - Arch Insurance North America has appointed Jeff Kaufmann from MSIG USA as executive vice president, head of marine, effective July 7.
New York-based Kaufmann will report to Valerie Turpin, chief underwriting officer, property. He joins Arch after more than a decade at MSIG USA, where he held a similar role.
Earlier in his career, Kaufmann worked at Tower Group Companies, ANV Global Services and XL Insurance.
In his new position, he will lead the establishment of Arch’s U.S. marine product offerings, including both ocean and inland marine products.
“Customers have been asking for more comprehensive marine solutions and Jeff’s reputation and strong relationships with specialty producers throughout the U.S. make him an ideal person to build out our offerings,” said Matt Shulman, CEO of Arch Insurance North America.
