
TCIL HK expects to incur an unrealized loss of HKD 37 million in the first half of the year

TAN CHONG INT'L expects to incur an unrealized loss of HKD 37 million within the six months ending June 30, 2025, primarily due to changes in the stock prices of its listed investments. In contrast, during the same period in 2024, it achieved an unrealized profit of HKD 262 million. This loss will be reflected in other comprehensive income and will not affect the group's consolidated income statement
According to the Zhitong Finance APP, TAN CHONG INT'L (00693) announced that it expects to incur an unaudited unrealized loss on its investments designated as fair value through other comprehensive income for the six months ending June 30, 2025. The loss is due to changes in the stock prices of its listed investments valued at market price, hence it remains unrealized. The expected amount of unrealized loss will be HKD 37 million, while for the same six-month period in 2024, it recorded an unrealized profit of HKD 262 million. The Group's unrealized loss will be reported in other comprehensive income during the period. It is expected that the unrealized loss will not be classified in the Group's consolidated income statement
