South Korean LG Electronics collaborates with Chinese companies to participate in product development of home appliances from the source, targeting the mid-to-low-end market in Europe.

According to reports from Yonhap News Agency, the drum washing machine jointly developed by LG Electronics and Chinese Skyworth, as well as the refrigerator developed in collaboration with AUCMA, is expected to be launched in the European market by the end of this month.

This is the first time LG Electronics has adopted the Joint Design Manufacturing (JDM) model in global market product cooperation with Chinese companies. Analysts believe this move is a strategic choice by LG Electronics to strengthen its response capabilities in the global mid-to-low-end market. The products being launched are priced at around $500, and considering LG's brand influence, it still holds a competitive advantage compared to Chinese products priced at around $400 in the local European market
