Recently, the country's first large-scale continuous production wind power coupled biomass green methanol project was officially put into operation in Taonan, Jilin. The green methanol produced in Taonan is mainly sold to CMA CGM Group in France for shipping. In order to achieve the goal of carbon reduction in international shipping, shipping giants such as Maersk and COSCO Shipping have also formulated plans to replace fuel oil with green methanol as ship fuel, just like CMA CGM. It is predicted that the demand for green methanol as ship fuel will exceed 500,000 tons this year and will reach over 2 million tons by 2030
