AXA announced that it has officially signed a cooperation agreement with the Hainan Boao Lecheng International Medical Travel Pilot Zone Administration, aiming to jointly explore more innovative medical insurance models and utilize the medical resources of Hainan Boao Lecheng to provide customers with more cross-border medical options.
The Hainan Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone was approved by the State Council in 2013 and is the only medical special zone in the country, enjoying preferential policies such as licensed medical services, franchising, licensed research, and licensed international exchanges. At the same time, the boron neutron capture therapy technology project that AXA previously explored with CH BIOTECH SER (08037.HK) is also being established in the Lecheng Pilot Zone.
Li Peiyu, Chief Life and Medical Insurance Business Director of AXA Hong Kong and Macau, stated that this cooperation will help AXA explore innovative medical solutions and incorporate them into insurance coverage, providing customers with diversified treatment options. She looks forward to deepening cooperation with Lecheng and various partners to explore more innovative medical models
