KAI YUAN HLDGS announced its interim results for 2025, with revenue of HKD 74.662 million, a year-on-year decrease of 48.08%; a net loss of HKD 99.956 million, turning from profit to loss year-on-year, with a loss per share of HKD 0.078. The reasons for the loss include reduced income due to partial closure for renovation of the Paris Marriott Hotel, impairment provisions for loans to joint ventures, rising financing costs, and declining bank deposit interest rates
According to the Zhitong Finance APP, KAI YUAN HLDGS (01215) announced its interim results for 2025, with revenue of HKD 74.662 million, a year-on-year decrease of 48.08%; a net loss of HKD 99.956 million, turning from profit to loss year-on-year; and a loss per share of HKD 0.78.
The announcement stated that the loss was mainly due to (i) the partial closure of the Paris Marriott Hotel for renovations, resulting in reduced revenue and a gross loss of approximately HKD 10.1 million; (ii) an impairment provision of approximately HKD 63.7 million for loans from joint ventures; (iii) an increase in financing costs during the period due to rising interest rates on the EUR 175 million bank loan renewed in 2024; and (iv) a decrease in other income and gains due to falling bank deposit interest rates
