Jinchuan International announced that in the first half of 2025, its mining business produced 27,904 tons of copper, a year-on-year decrease of approximately 2.4%. The decrease was due to unstable electricity supply in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, which led to a decline in electrolytic copper production. The group increased copper concentrate production through flotation plants to maintain overall output. Cobalt production significantly dropped to 71 tons, a year-on-year decrease of approximately 89.6%. Due to low cobalt production and export bans, no cobalt was sold in the first half of 2025
