On the morning of September 8, the 2025 Ocean Cooperation Development Forum opened in Qingdao. The forum is co-hosted by the Shandong Provincial Government and the Ministry of Natural Resources, with the theme "From Blue to Future - Developing a Sustainable Ocean Economy and Building a Beautiful and Abundant Ocean Together." It aims to expand multilateral ocean cooperation, build blue partnerships, and contribute to the construction of a community with a shared future for the ocean. During the opening ceremony, the establishment of the United Nations Ocean Decade "Coastal City" platform secretariat was announced, and several outcome documents were released, including the "2025 China Ocean Development Index," the "2024 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Marine Ecological Status Report," and the "Qingdao Initiative for Marine Youth Talent."
