Robotaxi is so competitive, CAOCAO INC just launched a satellite

The "CAOCAO Smart Travel" satellite was successfully launched into orbit yesterday. This satellite network will directly serve CAOCAO INC's autonomous driving platform—CAOCAO Smart Travel—providing technical support for its Robotaxi fleet operations. This technology aims to fundamentally address the risk of vehicles "losing connection" in signal blind spots, thereby paving the way for the large-scale operation of autonomous driving
CAOCAO INC is setting its sights on space, attempting to create a "one-body" system to open new dimensions in the fierce Robotaxi market competition.
On September 24, the "CAOCAO Smart Travel" satellite was successfully launched into orbit. This marks the completion of the first phase deployment of the "Geely Constellation" independently constructed by Geely's commercial aerospace company, with the number of satellites in orbit reaching 64.
It is reported that this satellite network will directly serve CAOCAO INC's autonomous driving platform—CAOCAO Smart Travel, providing technical support for its Robotaxi fleet operations. This technology aims to fundamentally address the risk of vehicles "losing contact" in signal blind spots, thereby paving the way for the large-scale operation of autonomous driving.
This series of actions has also attracted the attention of the capital market. In July of this year, after CAOCAO INC announced a strategic cooperation with the aerospace company, its stock price rose 4.56% the next day, indicating market recognition of its differentiated layout and potential in the Robotaxi field.
Addressing Robotaxi Safety Pain Points
Although Robotaxi technology has developed rapidly in recent years, issues such as unstable vehicle positioning signals and communication network interruptions in urban canyons, under overpasses, remote areas, and extreme weather conditions like heavy rain remain significant challenges for large-scale promotion.
According to the cooperation plan, future CAOCAO Smart Travel operational vehicles will be equipped with satellite application products and services to address these safety pain points.
Firstly, after integrating satellite communication capabilities, vehicles can maintain reliable connections with the control center even in areas with insufficient or unstable ground 5G network coverage, providing redundancy for remote monitoring, scheduling, and emergency intervention, greatly enhancing emergency response capabilities in extreme situations.
Secondly, by integrating satellite signals with ground reference station data, combined with onboard high-precision sensors, vehicles can achieve centimeter-level high-precision positioning. This capability remains stable and reliable in severe weather conditions such as heavy snow and rain, ensuring accurate decision-making for vehicles in complex road conditions.
Consolidating Safety Advantages and Accelerating Commercialization
The ultimate goal of satellite technology enhancement is to serve commercialization.
In February of this year, CAOCAO INC launched the CAOCAO Smart Travel autonomous driving platform and began pilot operations for Robotaxi in Suzhou and Hangzhou.
To accelerate the large-scale implementation of Robotaxi services, CAOCAO INC is steadily expanding its fleet size. According to the plan, the company aims to launch a custom model of L4-level Robotaxi designed specifically for autonomous driving by the end of 2026. This model will come pre-installed with autonomous driving components and related applications, optimized for long-term operation and reduced TCO (total cost of ownership).
Analysts point out that through the combination of vehicle customization, operational automation, and the "one-body" safety system, CAOCAO INC is expected to establish significant cost and safety advantages when Robotaxi enters the stage of large-scale operation.
