US Specialty EV Maker Automate Manufacturing of Blue Arc EV Truck

Blue Arc EV Solutions, part of The Shyft Group, has automated the manufacturing of its electric delivery vans designed for last-mile logistics. The company developed a custom EV chassis to meet specific delivery fleet needs, achieving over 220 miles of range. They secured an initial order for 150 vehicles from an undisclosed major delivery company. The Shyft Group implemented Rockwell Automation’s Plex Smart Manufacturing Platform to streamline production, enabling rapid development from concept to prototype in nine months. The company received the Plex Innovator Impact Award in 2023 for its innovative manufacturing approach.
