DRAGON MINING: High-grade results discovered from drilling at JOKISIVU, Finland

DRAGON MINING announced the discovery of high-grade gold mineralization in its drilling activities at the Jokisivu gold mine in Finland. The drilling included 19 underground diamond core holes and 7 surface holes, providing information on the nature and characteristics of gold mineralization in the southeastern part of the Jokisivu deposit. The Jokisivu gold mine is located 180 kilometers northwest of Helsinki and is part of DRAGON MINING's wholly-owned Vammala production center. The gold mineralization at this deposit extends vertically over 710 meters from the surface and is still being mined at depth
According to the announcement from Dragon Mining (01712), the results of the diamond core drilling activities recently conducted at the Jokisivu gold mine in southern Finland have been obtained. This includes the initial results of 18 underground diamond core drilling activities at the Arpola flying squirrel area at depths of 170 meters to 225 meters (Arpola-3), as well as 7 ground diamond core drilling activities aimed at assessing the southeastern extension of the Jokisivu main structure (Jokisivu exploration).
These activities have discovered several high-quality samples, providing the company with information about the nature and characteristics of gold mineralization in the southeastern part of the Jokisivu deposit.
The Jokisivu gold mine is located approximately 180 kilometers northwest of Helsinki, the capital of Finland, and about 40 kilometers southwest of the company's Vammala plant in southern Finland. It forms part of the wholly-owned Vammala production center, which includes the Vammala plant (a traditional facility with an annual processing capacity of 300,000 tons that integrates crushing, grinding, and flotation), the operational Jokisivu gold mine, the Aapelinkulma mine which ceased open-pit mining in April 2021, the Orivesi mine which stopped mining in June 2019, and the Uunimäki gold project.
The Jokisivu deposit is a structurally controlled mountain-type gold system located within the ancient Proterozoic Vammala mixed rock zone. It contains two sets of main parallel veins that differ in thickness and grade, spaced 200 meters apart, both located within a west-northwest trending shear zone of the syenite intrusion. The shear zone is characterized by stacked, compressed, and expanded quartz veins and well-developed moderate dip lineations. Gold mineralization occurs within the quartz veins and shear zones, occurring in barren host rocks.
Drilling has shown that gold mineralization in the Kujankallio area extends vertically over 710 meters from the surface, while in the Arpola area, it extends vertically over 480 meters from the surface. The Jokisivu deposit continues to be mined deeper along its strike.
Open-pit mining at Jokisivu began in 2009, with underground mining starting in 2011. As of June 30, 2025, underground development at Jokisivu has extended to a depth of 645 meters, with approximately 3.5 million tons of ore grading 2.5 grams per ton of gold extracted through both open-pit and underground operations.
The underground diamond core drilling operations at Jokisivu are ongoing, with a drilling program currently advancing on 15 drill holes targeting the Basin Zones area at depths of 175 meters to 190 meters. The drilling phase of this program is expected to be completed in the coming weeks, with results anticipated to be announced in early December. After the completion of drilling in the Basin Zones area, the drill rig will be moved to the Arpola area to conduct a drilling program targeting 19 drill holes in the Arpola main mining area at depths of 340 meters to 380 meters
