EMPEROR E HOTEL: Termination of Gaming Operations
EMPEROR E HOTEL announced that it will terminate its gaming operations with Australia Entertainment starting from October 31, 2025. Despite the end of the gaming business, the group will continue to operate its hotel business, expecting stable revenue for the fiscal years 2024 and 2025, with a healthy financial condition and cash of approximately HKD 526 million. The group plans to enhance the hotel service experience, diversify revenue sources, and holds an optimistic outlook on the prospects of Macau's tourism industry, seeking opportunities to expand its hotel business
According to the announcement from Emperor Entertainment Hotel (00296), on October 27, 2025 (after trading hours), Tianhao (a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company) and Australia Entertainment signed a termination agreement, which will take effect on October 31, 2025. From the termination date, Tianhao will no longer provide such services to Australia Entertainment, and the gaming area of Emperor Entertainment Hotel in Macau will cease operations.
The group will continue to engage in hotel operations, including (i) Emperor Jockey Club Hotel, (ii) The Unit Morrison Hill, (iii) The Unit Happy Valley, and (iv) The Unit Soho rental apartments located in Hong Kong, as well as (v) Emperor Entertainment Hotel and (vi) Prosperity Hotel located in Macau. The group's revenue from hotel and rental apartments is expected to remain stable for the fiscal years ending March 31, 2024, and March 31, 2025. Furthermore, as of March 31, 2025, the group maintains a robust financial position, with bank balances and cash of approximately HKD 526 million and no bank borrowings.
The group has long been actively planning other entertainment and recreational facilities to enhance the hotel service experience at Emperor Entertainment Hotel, thereby broadening its revenue base. The group remains optimistic about the prospects of Macau's tourism industry and will continue to enhance its products and services to seize business opportunities. The board will seek suitable opportunities to utilize its financial resources with the aim of expanding its hotel business
